...so little time

Oh, there is so much that I want to write about right now ~ our precious son waiting for us across the ocean (and to reveal his name), a wonderful long weekend visit from my cousin Jordan, an evening with the Chapmans and how that spoke to my heart, an amazing volunteer opportunity that has me finally feeling like I'm 'doing' something on a regular basis for the kids left behind in China, the loss of a beloved family pet, and so, so much more.

But right now I am choosing to live in the moment and I find less and less time to be here with my hands on my laptop keyboard.  I've got several drafts brewing and hope to get them posted soon.  Today however, it isn't likely that any of them will be on your RSS feed as I have a date with my family at the State Fair.  We'll be out ridiculously late, eat atrocious food, and drop a lot of cash on carnie rides and games.  This one day a year though is so fun, so worth the change collection basket that we keep all year long to fund it!

One quick parting thought though, please, please head over HERE (one of my new favorite places outside of NC) and read a story about a precious little boy named Robert.  And while you do, pray that the family God has ordained for him will find him soon...

Yay for fairs! That's a great idea to save change all year long for it. I think I may steal your idea! With just the three of us (no rides yet either), I couldn't believe how much it was! I can't imagine how much it will be with a family of 4, kids doing rides and eating more than toddler portions. EEK!

I was just thinking today what a perfect day for a fair! How fun!
I am sorry to hear about your beloved pet, Kristi.
And I look forward to hearing about a night with the Chapmans? Did you go to the concert? They're coming here in Nov. and we SO want to go!
