As full as my heart

How can I begin to express how much my cup runneth over?

I am blessed beyond belief to have the mind-blowing privilege of being a stay at home mom to three of God's greatest treasures.  I wish I had a dollar for every time someone has asked me if they are triplets.  (But I'll admit the looks on their faces when I say, "no, they're 4, 3 1/2, and 3" is perhaps better than the money...)

And then there's wishing that I had even a penny for every time someone said, "You sure have your hands full."  I struggled with a response until I saw this necklace at the vintage pearl.

Yes, it's on my wish list ~ with MY kids' names on it of course...
Now I simply respond, "My hands are almost as full as my heart."  I think it is the perfect answer!

This year at Mother's Day, I want to remember something specific about each of the kids from this week.
Kylie, age 4

My thinker.  My question asker.  A bit of conversation from the car last night:
Kylie ~ (singing as much of Audio Adrenaline's Big House as she could remember) "Come and go with me to my father's house, come and go with me to my father's house."  (suddenly interrupting herself) "Hey Mommy Daddy!  I know that Jesus is the son, and God is the father, right?"
Me ~ "Yes sweetie, that's right."
Kylie ~ "So then who is the mommy in the big house?"

Caleb, age 3 1/2
My rough and tumble, just on the edge of getting into trouble little guy.  Yet Mama's boy though and through.
Runs ahead of us while on walks, and stops EVERY time to pick up a rock, or a stick, or a handful of dandelions or clover and comes back grinning from ear to ear saying, "This for you Mommy!"

Darcy, age 3
A snuggle bug through and through.  Continuing to amaze me every day with the amount of English that she's picking up.  And singing EVERY time she sees a cake or cupcakes (doesn't matter if she's playing with this pretend set at home or seeing some in the grocery) at the top of her lungs, "Hap-pee Bir-bay tu eue!"

Whether they are standing for photos,
sitting to take a break,
or napping in exhaustion,
they are usually doing it together.  Three years ago these kids didn't know one another existed.  Now they are brother and sisters.  Forever.

And the only thing that makes it better than having three who in general love one another?
Having a Godly husband like Ian to walk this road of parenting with...

How blessed am I?

Happy Mother's Day.

Funny, but I hadn't thought about it until I read your post. I used to get told that ALL the time. "Boy, you sure have your hands full." I don't really hear it any more.

Love that picture of Kylie. All three of your kiddos are so cute.

Happy Mother's Day.
