Does he know something?

Overall the "M trio" is getting along really well.  Most of the time they all three play together, and play together nicely.  In those moments the sun is shining, birds are singing, and it seems that all is right in the world.

But then there are the moments when they pair off and a third feels left out.  That's when clouds start rolling in, the birds grow silent, and you know troubled times are a comin'.

Many times the injured party comes to me in tears and I remind all three of our family pact.  (A version of this set of sibling rules modified to fit the understanding level of our kids).

Sometimes "the third wheel" (it can be any of the trio) shrugs shoulders and heads to their room to play independently.

Then there are the times the third begins talking of a return to China to bring home another sibling to even out the bunch.

And on Sunday, one of our brood even told their Sunday School teacher all about their brother.  I'm not calling names, but that child doesn't (currently) have a brother.

Course one of my kids predicted a little sister last year.  Does he know something we don't?

I am SO laughing...four is a nice, round number. Of course, I hear "I can't WAIT to get Mary-Kate" DAILY. I am making her a t-shirt.

I have an odd man out over here too, for the first time in my life I feel done having kiddos ( We have 5), but then I see him left in the dust and begging for someone to shoot some hoops or play soccer with him and I really feel like he needs a brother.
You never know :) I will enjoy watching your story unfold even more.
Blessings

Well.... the prophetic gene probably runs in the family....and from what I know of you and Ian I wouldn't doubt if you followed the words of the prophet.....(I am hoping Hudson's words the other night were prophetic when he said Anja was missing at the table and was in China).

Nice smile! :) I hope I'm not ruining it for myself, but the odd man out syndrome seems to be dwindling at our house. For a while, I swore that 2 or 4 kids was the way to go, now I'm not so sure. Three seems to be quite nice. :)

Happy Birthday to you!

Andrew's soccer game on Saturday is at Noon in case you guys are looking for some outdoor fun before the Charity Ball.

That is how our journey to Andrew started. They decision was made when he said "mom and dad isn't there a brother somewhere in the world that doesn't have a family that could be my brother." Yep. That did it for us!

Hugs,

Ann Marie
