Higher temps

And I'm not referring to warmer weather (we have about two inches of snow outside right now and it's coming down like it has no intention of stopping).

I firmly believe in the power of prayer. Therefore I'm asking for help...

Ky woke up from her nap this afternoon complaining that her head hurt when she coughed or jumped. She has coughed about 5 times in the past week and jumping is optional, so I ever so sweetly suggested that she not jump anymore. I totally thought that her complaining was a ploy to keep my mom in town a little longer.

After mom left she continued to complain about her head hurting "on the very top" and then started saying that her throat felt scratchy. And then I noticed that she was a bit hot. Grabbing the thermometer with a growing sense of dread, I discovered that she was indeed above normal temperature ~ 100.4.

Not anything that I would normally call the pediatrician's office after hours for, but our departure time is less than 80 hours away.

Please join with me in praying that whatever has her down will pass quickly, and spare the rest of us...

ps ~ Tuesday night Kylie announced that she wanted to pray for my burned hand. I'd kept ice on it for several hours and couldn't open it at all due to stabbing pain. Wednesday morning I woke up with nothing more than a slightly discolored spot across the top of my palm. No pain at all. Praise God!

Sending prayer up...

And maybe (like you need something else to do) you should run her to a minute clinic (do you have those at your drug stores?) for a strep swab. I know you have antibiotics already. It's probably already covered, but it wouldn't hurt to make sure that it's effective on strep. That can get out of hand quickly, and that would NOT be good while traveling. Obviously. Aren't you glad I put my two cents in?

80 HOURS??!! Wow. Good news about your hand! I know you know that God already has this taken care of. Praying with confidence...

My oldest little girl also woke up (several times) last night and is running a fever but we don't have a big trip like you to worry about! I'll be praying for you guys and pray that Kylie feels better soon.

Definitely praying!! Asking our healing God to bless your whole family with healing. Try not to panic-take some deep breathes and know that you will see Darcy so so soon!

Hugs to you all!
