Proof positive

Hard to call them babies when they can now do this.

Next thing I know they'll be able to turn on the water in their bathroom to wash their hands.

Oh wait, that happened this afternoon...

Sigh.

Uh-oh... some emotional days are ahead, I see. Yep, it's the little things that hit us, isn't it?

Oh, sister, I am SO there with you! Last night Allison woke in the middle of the night to use the restroom and it was like "no big deal". We even asked her, "Are you okay?" and she responded like she was 18- like, how weird for us to have to ask her. Such a simple thing- but it showed me how "big girl" she is!

It does go by lightning fast. It's quite bittersweet. Our job as Moms is to work ourselves out of a job. But,the comfort is that in some ways they will always need their Mommy.

Just wait until they can reach the microwave.... It's bittersweet, isn't it?

I know, I know but maybe you can focus on a few things that they will be able to do soon that are awesome. Like take out the trash :0)

You little "munchkins" are so grown up. Kylie and Caleb, Grandma is so proud of you that you can go get the mail for Mommy and turn on your own water in the bathroom. You are so helpful.

Oh, I love the motivation Caleb has on his tippy toes - what a proud moment that was for him to reach the mailbox:) But, I do know how sad you are to see the kids growing up...I'm sad too, every time I see Matthew do something that shows he doesn't need me for EVERYTHING :(
