Then I saw her face...

It's crazy to me that three years ago today I was climbing the walls in our house waiting for FedEx to come and give me the picture of my baby that my big girl is holding above! And now she tumbles in my living room...
dressed in her sixth ensemble of the day!

I spent some time strolling down memory lane, reading and re-reading my thoughts and emotions of the call that came on November 30 and finally seeing her face on December 1. (If you are new to Fireworks and Fireflies and want to see how we as first time parents reacted, start here and keep hitting "newer post" at the end of each)

Little did we know that day that our travel approvals would be the last to arrive from that batch of referrals and we'd not leave to meet her for two more months...

Also little did we know how drastically, wonderfully, and fully our lives would change when Lian Bao Zhen would finally become Kylie BaoZhen M_______.

I'm forever in love!
Thank you Heavenly Father for the gift of being able to raise this child!

I knew there must be some reason I woke up so early this morning- so I'd have time to go back through those older posts, from 3 years ago. I read them all, from getting the call to meeting Kylie. What a JOY it was! Look how fast it was- going from your mom and sister being your only commenters to meeting so many people through adoption- people that would share the joy of you meeting THREE children, not just one. Amazing! :) God is good!

Kylie, you are a blessing to all of us. Grandma misses you when you are at your "new" house...but my heart is extra warm each time that I think of you.
Your Christmas tree is beautiful.

I think in this picture, Kylie is saying, "thank you heavenly father for the gift of these parents. She is so precious.

oh, the joys of going down memory lane. Its how I found out that Kylie's referral was just a month before our Emily's. Oh, and how I just wish we can travel together to get our daughter/son home at the same time. It will be awesome to meet in GZ. I'm praying for after Chinese new year (just like 3 years ago).

Our girls (both Guandong girls), born in the same year.
