...gonna have to find a bigger word!

You know how sometimes you know something, but you don't really think about what it means until later?
Yeah, as I sat filling out our visa applications to enter the PRC last night I looked up at the fireplace and suddenly it occurred to me that there will need to be THREE silk stockings hanging next year! I still remember buying the NOEL stocking holders the first year Ian and I lived in our previous house. Back then four seemed like plenty ~ funny that.

(Oh, and yes, when we still lived closer to family all my "word" decorations would get switched around frequently. Noel would end up either Elon or Leon, and Santa would frequently get switched to Asnat. It always seemed to happen after groups of people that included my dear brother-in-law. I'm just sayin'...)

So I guess I'll be watching after Christmas sales to score at least a good addition to the set if not an entire new word set. Loved the suggestion to find the entire word "Christmas" though even that doesn't take us to the number of siblings that Caleb currently is requesting. He frequently says that he wants ten ~ yes, you read that right, TEN ~ sisters. And Kylie just giggles and says, "We're gonna need a bigger car for all of your kids Momma!" I doubt there will be eleven total, but we'll take it one child at a time, following God's lead. Only He knows how many "littles" our family will hold...

Oh, and for future reference ~ starting to fill out Visa applications after 11:30 pm on a night I am already tired is not such a good idea. At 12:49 am, after I hit print on the last one and closed the form (therefore wiping out any data because you can't save it with information in it) and was reviewing the fruits of my labor I saw these words at the top of the form, "type your answer in capital English letters." And while I can't imagine WHY it would make a hill of beans if it is all in caps or in caps/lowercase, the form does say capital. So guess what I'm doing in a minute...

Yep, we finally had to go with a stocking tree (black wrought iron), which holds six (with the dog's stocking(s) in the kitchen. When we add to our family, I'm going to have to move mine and Jon's somewhere else or buy another tree!

I will ammend my suggestion to suit Caleb's request... instead of finding "Christmas", you can look for "Merry Christmas"... I'm just saying... :)

TEN?! EEK! Maybe you could start adding stocking holders that are of snowflakes and stuff.

Maybe you can find the word Joyeux online? I probably spelled that wrong. I'm not referring to the movie. I don't speak French... only a toddler's amount of Japanese... but I'm guessing you don't want Happy Christmas on your mantle. ;-)

Ten sisters? Has he lost his mind? I can't imagine a living in a house with 11 women, and I am one. :)

Mmmm.....I have a PEACE sign that holds 5 stockings/5 letters. Perhaps we can exchange for your NOEL/4 letters since were are going to be 4. Hey, Don't hold me responsable if next year you decide to adopt one more...HA!

VISA application, yeah another paper to fill out, but so excited because it means we are next!
