I don't know where the time has gone. In some ways it seems like just yesterday when I looked up from signing paperwork in the Wuhan Civil Affairs office and saw a timid little boy walk in.
And then it was time for the orphanage staff to go. While he had been curious about the tall, strange sounding white people at first, he wanted no part in being held by me!
Thousands of hugs, kisses, and everyday moments together has brought us so far!
Actually taken last Thursday, so not quite a year later, but close...
My precious Caleb,And man there were days along the road that I thought they may kill one another, but today my kids really enjoyed one another's company.
Now, looking back on it all, I suppose it was at the moment that I took this picture on that very first night that I thought ~ no, make that KNEW ~ that while we had some bonding to achieve that before long as a family we were gonna be alright.

It just seems like you've always been here. Thank goodness you sleep as hard as you play or Mommy would have giant bags (instead of just dark circles) under her eyes. Daddy and I laugh and say that you turned our lives upside down ~ and man do we like it! You have enriched our world more than words can express. Happy one year forever family day. I love you to the moon ~ and back!
Always,
Mommy
