You know they aren't babies anymore when...

...they figure out how to "free their new shoes" from the restraining ties that Target uses...

One second he was asking me to "cut tag" on his shoes and when he decided I wasn't responding fast enough, he took matters into his own hands! Smart little bugger!

...and they are "too cool" to sit with their mommies and little brothers at lunch...

Ky and Darby have declared their independence from sitting with C.C. and I when we have lunch together. They politely (but firmly at the same time) request to sit "at a big girl table" all by themselves.

...and they have learned to snitch extra fries off their Mama's tray when she's not looking.

Sweet Henry moves in for the kill to score a few more fries.

How can they be growing and developing so fast?

They are just darling. Just wait until Darcy is stealing fries too.

It happens so fast doesn't it? And the mixed emotions it brings...pride in seeing them grow more and more independent each day and then the selfish part of us slips in and wants them to stay small... :)

Oh how they are growing up. I want to keep calling them my babies even though I know they are far beyond being babies. It is happening too fast for this old Grandma.
