The commute to work

Some days we head out to take advantage of our children's museum membership, on others we continue to discover nearby parks, and once a week brings about our shopping trip ~ usually to the Super Target so that the kids can munch on a bag of popcorn while I sip a soda (the combo is only $1.50 ~ worth the price to buy peace in the shopping cart) as we cruise the aisles. But then there are the days that we never leave the house and yard, physically anyway ~ Kylie likes to "go to wuk like Daddy."

Join us as she prepares to commute...

Not sure what they were checking for, but Caleb followed his sister's lead until she was satisfied that the "road" was clear.
"I beee back Ty-ah!"
"Okay, have a nice day at wuk Kay-ub!"
Anyone else envisioning "Fred Flinstone feet" right now?
Arriving at work a few minutes later (which looks suspiciously like where she started...), ready for a long day in the office.

Oh, and if you are wondering, we scored both of these cars for a total of $5 ~ one was given to us by one of Ian's co-workers, and the other we picked up at a yard sale by another of his co-workers less than a week later. Um, yes, it was necessary for harmony around here...

Nice that they are learning to drive at such a tender, young age.
They want to be like Daddy. How sweet.

Dont' you just love how kids copy things we do - it's so cute. (Sometimes anyway..haa) And you gotta love good yard sale finds - we just got a really cute playhouse @ one this weekend... and when you need to have double everything it would get expensive otherwise! p.s. I'm e-mailing you about Savannah.

I JUST told Bill this morning that I wanted to get 2 Cozy Coupes for the girls. He questioned the 2! Ha! And now I see your blog post!I'm not looking at getting them 2 for $5, though. Sigh....

AC says she wants to eat all her food and grow big and strong so she can DRIVE! What? That's what happens when you've got teens in the house, too. Slow down AC, don't grow yourself up too quickly!

Wow I can't believe the great deal you got on the cars. I always wanted one when I was little. I am always checking out yard sales for great finds like these!
