Mom came in for the weekend and my kids have been so happy to see her! While Ian and I fixed supper on Friday night and the rain poured down, (I'm pretty sure I saw some pairs of animals plodding across the backyard) Dahma was introduced to Kai Lan.
And since she arrived, Ian and I have been chopped liver...
(But we're happy to take a backseat ~ it makes me remember when Traci and I used to get so excited about Grandma and Grandpa coming down to visit. We could always count on Mom's parents to take us to McDonald's for a milkshake and fries ~ even if it was almost supper time ~ and Dad's parents to play endless games of crazy eights and king on the corner with us. There's just something special about the relationship between grandparent and grandchild!)
I've also enjoyed staying up WAY TOO late at night talking with Mom. I've missed her since we've been here!

Yay for grandparents!!! That is such a cute photo of your mom & kids!
Awww. I know Grandma was in heaven!
Aunt Cici
Happy you're getting time to spend with your mom! That picture reminds me of the one we have of Kylie and Caroline with her. I would love to visit with your mom sometime! She's so sweet.
We had some heavy rain, too. And SNOW showers on Sunday. Did I mention my firstborn is at the beach in SC? If I didn't miss her so much, I'd disown her.
I think I'm more excited than the girls when my mom arrives. It means help, relief and lots of finished projects!
Your comment about the animals two by two made me snort!! I think they were floating by in our backyard, too. :-) Sounds like a fun weekend. We are heading further south for Easter and spring break soon and I can't wait to see my folks!
It has been so great to have Hudson have all this time with Gandpa and mema...my kids never grew up around grandparents so it has been awesome...
I haven't loaded any pictures yet on Hudson's camera but when I do I'll will post a couple so you can check out their quality....
Your mom is such a wonderful grandma (Ian's mom too!!) - Your kids are so blessed to have them!!!
