Sunshine and friendship

We've had two warm days back to back. What goes best with warm days? A park of course!

And what goes best with a park? Friends!

So yesterday and today we enjoyed the warmth of the sun with the companionship of good friends.

Caleb and Lottie in an intense conversation.

Spontaneously saying grace over their pretend sand food.
Darby and Kylie investigating the sand wheel.

The "three amigos" preparing to slide.
"I wish, I wish, I wish I was at de beech!"

When I asked Kylie what she was doing as I took the picture above, she looked at me and said, "I was dus wishin dat I wuz at de beech!" Oh, and did I mention that her shoes and socks came off so she could "feel the sand in my toes." It was a bit chilly for that, but she's good about letting me know when she's hot or cold, so I let it go. I turned my head to get a visual on Caleb (who had finally gotten tired of the sand and was checking out a nearby piece of playground equipment) and when I looked back ~ like 10 seconds later ~ Kylie was in the process of pulling her pants off so she could "feel the sand on my yegs." I did stop that one... Man, I gotta get this kid to the beach, FAST!

haha.. Parks are always fun when you throw in a sunny day and some friends! Tell them I wish I could go to the beach and feel the sand in my toes too, but it was probably a good call about the pants; )

Looks like yall are doing well. Thanks for the prayers.

Kylie, Grandma is ready to go to the beach with you at a moments notice. I am a "beach" girl, also. Saying grace over pretend food is adorable. What a blessing that Kylie and Caleb have such good friends in Raleigh.

Awe that looks like fun. I love the praying picture, and the picture of Kylie with her eyes shut. She looks like she is about to dump sand on her face. :) They are so cute.
