Baby it's Cold Outside!

But that didn't keep us indoors the other day... (it might today though ~ the high is only to be 30 and it hasn't gotten there yet! We've been inside all day so far. We'll see how it is after nap time is over.)

"I can't move in all these layers Mommy!"
He finally seems to be enjoying the swing ~ maybe it is because he figured if he fell out there was no way he could get hurt. Poor kid had on a set of pajamas, fleece lined jeans, two shirts and the heaviest coat we own. He couldn't get his arms very close to his side when standing, but my little freezy boy sure didn't get cold!

When it's sunny ~ even if they need to be bundled to the point of causing me to think of the Stay-Puffed Marshmallow Man ~ we try to get out for at least 30 minutes. This trip to the park was extra fun because we got to hang out with Darby, her little brother Henry, and her mom, C.C. The kids had a great time (and burned off a good bit of energy ~ good stuff for happy napping later), the mommies enjoyed conversation, and the sun was warm ~ not much more you can ask for out of a park outing!

Are these three of the cutest kids you've ever seen on the tire swing?

Sweet Henry ~ his personality is really beginning to show with folks outside his immediate family. I turned the camera on him and he started with the charm. I could just kiss those little cheeks all up!

It's a balmy 12 degrees here in Ludington, MI today! The sun is out and it's just beautiful, but FRIGID! Sigh...now, if the sun would just warm us to at least 30, it would feel like a spring day!

About all the layers of clothes...the Clothes Police in China would be happy that you bundled the kids so well. ;-)

We're at a high of 2F today...not including the wind chill...

And I am LAUGHING at all those layers...girl, are you in China or North Carolina??? Hee!

Caroline's snow gear in the snow storm the other day was a turtleneck, tights and her two-piece snow suit...any more layers and she would have revolted.

I am totally bumming...a park day with you all would just do me a world of good! Okay, I wouldn't settle for just a day...lemme go check on those frequent flyer miles...

30 isn't cold Kristi ... now 9 is cold! :) Too funny to see all of your kiddos bundled up - wasn't it just a few weeks ago they were in shorts on the deck? You need a little dose of cold now and then.
Hope you guys enjoy the week -
