I feel like he looks!

With all that needs to be done between now and October 23 (finish staging the house and complete the "to do" list from our realtor, pack and move our belongings across the state, settle into our rental house, allow Ian to complete the demo for his company, and pack for a two week international trip with TWO toddlers) Ian and I have decided to adopt the slogan, "Sleep is for sissys!" Today I felt like Chaucer looks in this picture ~ a bit rough and ragged...

Dear Chaucer after spending a day on "the farm" at Mama's. He seems to know just where to find the hitch-hiker burrs!

...but still smiling because I know that beloved friends and family have already volunteered to help us make it through. Besides, I have a peace that can only come from knowing full well that God has amazing things in store for our family!

Thanks for my morning laugh, Kristi! What a picture! I cannot imagine your "to do" list- SO much happening at once. Keep allowing people to help out- it helps them as much as it does you. And the end result of all of this- a new family ready to make new memories in a new place- how exciting!!

Kristi,

I am finally re-entering the "real world" as we adjust to life at home with Baby and overcoming (mostly) the jet lag and exhaustion. So so excited that you finally have your travel dates to get Caleb and it is just a few weeks away! We will be praying for your whole family and the long to-do list you have ( I feel sympathy exhaustion just thinking about it-- the memories of our trip prep are fresh in my mind!)-- for strength and endurance as you race toward the finish line-- the trip to China and Caleb!!

Hi, we are a fellow AWAA family. I hope you don't mind if I follow your journey to China. Our LID is 9/28/06. We have listed ourselves on the Waiting Children list but as of yet, we have not received a referral! Blessings on your trip. Your son is sooo adorable!

I am so far behind on blogs and commenting. Being sick doesn't help much (both my computer and myself) Congrats on leaving soon for your sweet boy. I can't imagine moving, going to china etc all at the same time. God truly must have amazing things in store for you all!
Blessings!
