Does he know yet?

Funny how despite how quickly the "to-do before we leave for China" list keeps growing (much faster than I'm checking items off mind you!) that I often find myself unable to concentrate on anything other than this sweet child.

When I look at this picture, I want to be the one to give him ice cream on a hot day, I want to kiss those skint knees and offer the magic of band-aids, I want to rub that short hair and wrap my arms around him in a big hug! I just am ready to be his mommy!
We carry his picture in our wallets, Kylie wants to show her album of his pictures to complete strangers in Target, and we refer to "the kids" as if he is already here. And yet I have to wonder if he knows yet. Has he been told that he has another family across the world? Has his foster family been showing him the photo album we sent? Can he feel the love that has grown for him here in NC? Oh how I pray that God is preparing his heart for the changes that are coming!

I cannot wait to meet Caleb through your journey THIS MONTH!! He is soooo precious!! Tonight in the car Allison said, "Let's pretend Aaron is already here", and she started talking to him. LOVE IT!! Our girls are going to make such wonderful big sisters!

I'm a "waiting Nana" who has been reading your blog since you went to China to get your beautiful daughter. My daughter (who is the waiting Mom)graduated from Elon and we live in Danville, VA so I always felt a connection to you. She has such a long time to go that we rejoice for all the other families getting their children. Sometimes she has to pull back a little for her own sanity, so I try to keep up for her.

I admire you and your family and am so excited to follow you again to get Caleb. Keeping you in my prayers for all the changes in all your lives!

I have no doubt that the Lord has whispered your name into his ears and placed His hand upon him.

SOON you will be able to be everything that you have longed to be to him!! SO exciting!!

Blessings,
Jenn

Precious little Caleb. Oh, the joys of love that await you in our family. I long to hold you and hear you say "Dahma". I pray that the transition will be comfortable for you. I know that my God can do that for you.
