In the past few days we've been fully embracing the relaxed attitude of summer. We've spent maximum amounts of time at mom's pool, visited with cousins, pulled out a tub of "hidden toys" on a rainy day, played with friends, eaten fresh produce, stayed up too late, slept in even later, gone to Vacation Bible School at church, and enjoyed being a family!
A few pictures of life around here lately...
Some of Kylie's toys are in big bins in our storage area and on rainy days I pull out a new tub and switch her toys out. She had a blast for several hours during a stormy afternoon "rediscovering" some of her favorites.
Getting dizzy is always more fun with a friend. Kylie and cousin Chloe giggled themselves silly!
"I can draw!"
She thinks she is big stuff since Ian showed her to draw on the white board in his office. She is very careful and hasn't gotten any dry erase marker on the walls (yet!). Two things to note about Kylie in this picture ~ 1. the welts on her leg. We are usually so good about putting bug spray on our girl, but occasionally we forget when we go out for just a few minutes. Any suggestions on how to help the bites disappear AFTER they happen? They will stay big and red and then leave dark marks on her skin for weeks.
2. You may not be able to tell, but yes, her hair is VERY greasy. That afternoon we had to test (for the first time) just how well peanut butter takes gum out of hair...
"I don't know Daddy, this jumpy thing is pretty crazy."
Hanging out at our church family fun day.
She took getting her face painted so seriously.
And then jumping got fun...
We're not sure who was more tired, Aunt CiCi or Kylie.

Oh, how I miss those relaxed days of summer. Things have been anything but, lately. Looking forward to checking out of life and enjoying some great fellowship and fun with friends...how many more f's can I get in my FANTASTIC sentence? Okay, I need more sleep...
Looks like y'all are off to a fun relaxing summer.
By the way how well does peanut butter take gum out of hair??
Have an awesome week,
Krista
Kylie was the best costomer at the face painting booth. She sat so still.
I think I was maybe more tired than she was too.
Apparently the peanut butter works wonders because I got to give her a bath that night and there were barely remenants of gum left in her hair.
Aunt Cici
LOVE the picture of her jumping! I wonder if peanut butter gets gum out of clothes? Andrew "lost" gum and it was found down the back of his shirt. All the other tricks of gum removal didn't work.

So glad you guys are having a fun summer. Bug bites do the same things to Lainie.... Her ped. said that the darker the pigment in the skin, the longer the "mark" will stay... Even when she doesn't really scratch, she still has a mark where the bite was. If you find out something that works let me know.
