Snow day take 2!

The accumulation was even less than Thursday's snow, but it snowed here all afternoon and evening on Saturday! Unfortunately it had rained all morning, so it was wet and miserable outside. We decided to make the best of things and spend a quiet day together here at home. We started with a big breakfast of French Toast made with King's Hawaiian bread ~ um um good! ~ and sausage. While we waited Kylie got a diaper change and then decided that baby was colder than she was...

"Don't make too much noise, can't you see baby is going to sleep?"
I hope this doesn't mean that Kylie is starting the infamous "naked stage!"

and then we spent 7 ~ YES, SEVEN ~ hours cleaning out Ian's office (pretty much for the first time since we moved in back in October of 2000 ~ think seven + years of shoving things we didn't know what to do with).

We broke for a snowy day lunch of grilled cheese and tomato soup. Kylie may have a new favorite food on her list ~ I had to refill her little bowl four times! And the only way I could get her to pay any attention to her grilled cheese was to tell her I'd give her more soup only after she took two bites of sandwich ~ which she counted for me as she ate...

Cleaning the office was MUCH easier during the three hours Kylie napped! After her nap time she was under our feet for a while and then she pushed baby around in the stroller. I guess about 15 minutes passed before I realized that I hadn't heard them wheel by for a while. I went to investigate and found Kylie in the kitchen...

"If snow were this warm I'd really like it!"
She then spent about 30 minutes breaking the packing peanuts into tiny bits and throwing them in the air above her head, squealing with laughter each time. And yes, she had been wearing clothes for a little while, but she spilled tomato soup on her pants at lunch and then really didn't want to re-dress afterward...

Go ahead, say it, the naked stage is coming, isn't it?

Not much cuter than naked baby:-)

I agree with C.C., nothing cuter than a naked baby! AND it seems to help with potty training. Take advantage of it - enjoy.

Maddy has that same baby and lately has been carrying her around telling us "shhh" and being very genuine with her. Today, we had grilled cheese and tomato soup and she was all about that tomato soup I tell you!! She didn't NOT want that grilled cheese though, unless she could dunk it in that soup. :0) Gotta love comfort food.

Once again our little mother is taking excellent care of her baby doll. Grilled cheese and tomato soup - perfect combination for a cold, snowy afternoon. Will have to have that some Sunday evenings for her. What can be more fun that playing and throwing styrofoam popcorn! Looks like lots of fun. She is so inventive!
