After the excitement of the fair it was time to head home for about 24 hours because I needed to work on Thursday. Cindy wanted to see Ian and also meet Maya, so she and Caroline loaded into the car to join Kylie and I "on the road again." Kylie sacked out quickly, but Caroline managed to stay awake for the entire 2+ hours until we met Ian at a nearby Cracker Barrel for dinner. (Cindy and I actually said no to Chick-fil-A after all the fried stuff at the fair)
Kylie and Caroline started the evening fun with a quick race around the living room.
Then we got to thinking about how disgustingly dirty the girls had to be after spending the day in "fair grime," so we decided that it was bath time. Let's take a quick trip down memory lane for the last time the girls took a bath together... It was February 13th in China ~ we decided that some "bath therapy" with Caroline (who LOVED bath time) may help Kylie get over her phobia...
Not so much! (February 13th)
This bath didn't go completely smoothly though... Caroline thought it would be fun to dump a cup of water on Kylie's head. (For those thinking this was undeserved, know that Kylie started it by squirting Caroline in the face with her fish squirter...)
Like true sisters, the water in face incidents were quickly forgotten and they helped each other wash hair.
Once jammies were on, Kylie started to show Caroline EVERYTHING in her room. She tried to "read" Caroline a book, but when that proved to be too slow (still bodies fall asleep you know)...
...she showed her how fun it is to ride Eeyore!
While I was at preschool Ian fixed a big breakfast.
And then Kylie continued to show her "southern hospitality" by actually sharing her special chair with Caroline (yeah, I'm surprised about that one too!)
Kylie may have shared her books, Eeyore, bath, breakfast, and even special chair, but she wasn't thrilled about sharing her Grandma!
"And the best thing about Maya is that she'll eat the vegetables from my plate when Mommy isn't looking!"

On our way out of town we stopped by my favorite consignment store and then hit the highway back to Raleigh...
