Thanksgiving at Grandmas

As Thanksgiving approached this year we began to focus on the feast ahead.

Of course food wasn't our only focus...being with family at Grandma's is the best part!

To wrap up the weekend we helped Grandma deck her halls because she loves all things Christmas!

First step was tree selection...no simple task when she had 8 giving their opinions!

Next came removing all straw, leaves and twine.

And then the fast chaos that was lights and decorations.

Even if it's not my tree in my house, there's not much more soothing than sitting by Christmas tree light...

So glad Mama has a full month to enjoy her tree and being decorated for Christmas!

And then there was the trip home.  After a fun filled weekend it was a pretty quiet ride...

And of course, Thanksgiving reflections.  My boy and his carbs...

It's one of Natalie's favorite events of the year... birthday shopping and treat date with Grandma!

When your anniversary plans of cheering your kids on to victory at the pool change because the last swim meet of the season gets postponed due to lightning halfway through backstroke, you punt and go to Bruster's.
